    Hi there,

    Absolutely! You can set up your WordPress site as you’d like and then move a domain you already own. This can be done 2 different ways, either by domain transferring or domain mapping. Pretty much, domain transferring moves your domain to WordPress.com, so when it comes time to renew your domain you would be paying for it through WordPress. Domain mapping, on the other hand, keeps your domain with your previous provider (so you would still be paying through them), and “maps” your domain to your new WordPress site.
