Using WordPress with 2 Different Entities at the same time

  I have just begun putting together a blog (totally new to this) with FunnelX2. I have been introduced to another online business that requires a different ‘plug-in’. Is it acceptable to be involved with 2 different entities within WordPress and it not affect the performance of either?
