Using wordpress.com URL for a self-hosted wordpress.org blog

    Hi

    Just a quick question.

I’ve seen lots of articles on doing the opposite, but I wanted to know if it was possible to have your wordpress.org blog, hosted on your own webhost, but to use your wordpress.com URL.

    ie:
    blog post hosted at
    http://www.mydomain.com/blog/2011/11/20/hello_world/
    URL would be
    mysubdomain.wordpress.com/2011/11/20/hello_world/

I’m not just after a redirect, but a way to have the full control of my blog that wordpress.org offers, but with the URL always to be a wordpress.com URL, regardless of whether people are on the root of the blog or viewing a post. I don’t want to just replace the text in browser URL field, but the posts to be accessible using the wordpress.com URLs. Does wordpress support this in any way? Or does anyone know of a way of implementing this?

    Thanks for your thoughts!

Hi. I’m practically certain the answer is “only through the site redirect upgrade”, but to confirm, you may want to contact staff directly:
