  I don’t understand what that means or how to choose a city in my time zone from the drop dpwn list.

  Hi there!

  You timezone depends the position of your city in the world, here in Brazil my timezone is UTC -3, you have to look for a city next to you and select it, but be careful to perform this until you understand how it works. You can check more information about the timezone on the links below:

  At WordPress.com the timezone is used for your posts publishing date.
