Utilizing Allotted Space in My Pages in Twenty Fourteen Theme

  • Unknown's avatar

    I am trying to enlarge images under my pages in order to utilize the allotted white space. I had this issue on the main page. The content wasn’t using the space available well; I got some help, and the main content width was changed. I want to do the same thing for my pages’ content. The margins are too large on left and right. For an example, here is a page:

    I do not know any coding myself, so I looked around for a while to fix this, but couldn’t find any answers. Can anyone help with this?

    Thanks,

    Hi Bonsai,

    I can see that you’ve increased the size of your content area with the following custom CSS:

    .site-content .entry-header, .site-content .entry-content, .site-content .entry-summary, .site-content .entry-meta, .page-content {
    	max-width: 620px;
    }

    To also increase the size of the media items that appear within that content area, navigate to the CSS panel of the WordPress.com Customizer and enter 620 into the Media Width field at the bottom. Save your changes once done and you’ll notice that the galleries on your page increase in size upon refresh.

    Hope that helps!

    This helps so much! Solved my issue! And to think: it was right there below the CSS panel…! Thank you!!!!
