Vacationing in Mexico

Can not log in to my account while in Mexico. Please help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you see any error in particular when you try to login at https://wordpress.com/log-in?
To clarify, do you have “2 step verification” enabled for your WordPress.com account? The system would ask for a 2 step verification code when logging into your WordPress.com account using a new device/from a new IP. You will have to enter the code sent to your mobile number or generated on your code generating app.
If you do not use 2 step verification, you can safely ignore the previous paragraph.
Let us know if you are seeing any errors in particular.

The login page looks different, it asks for my email instead of user name and password, I plug the email in and it says you do not have an account. Then it takes me to a page that asks for URLs and two forms of varification. I am not literate at any of this. I am lucky to write a blog. Thanks so much for trying to help me.

Just to clarify, what’s your site link? Is it http://pickerelcreekcamp.com/ or are you referring to a different site?
-
-
So, you are trying to publish to https://pickerelcreekcamp.wordpress.com/, right?
You should ideally login at https://wordpress.com/log-in and on the space that asks you to enter your email ID, you can either enter the email ID or enter the username of your WordPress.com account, which is pickerelcreekcamp.
If you do not remember your WordPress.com account password, try using the lost password screen to reset your WordPress.com account password. https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
I am right here if you have questions.
-
I don’t have an email id, so I put in the user name, pickerelcreekcamp, the screen says the user does not exist.
-
It shouldn’t ideally say that. I entered the username pickerelcreekcamp on an incognito tab of my web browser and it does not seem to show any such errors.
In fact, you are using the same username to post here on these forums!
I suggest you clear cache and cookies on your web browsers as explained here, or try using a different web browser to see if that helps.
I am also tagging the post with “modlook” for the WordPress.com staff’s attention.

Thanks a bunch. On can get in on this page if nothing else. I appreciate your help. I will try a different web browser for sure.

pickerelcreekcamp.com is hosted by GoDaddy.com
That site is not on our WordPress.COM servers.
We do not provide support for local installs of WordPress.ORG software, or for WordPress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to WordPress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites WordPress.COM account page.WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The wordpress.ORG support forum is at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
See also https://apps.wordpress.org/support/ for app support. -
Timethief,
Yes, pickerelcreekcamp.com is hosted by GoDaddy.com
However, the “blog” tab from that site points to https://pickerelcreekcamp.wordpress.com/. The user hints at that by saying “That is our website, but the blog is viewed from there.” The most recent post was Dec 22, so it is clearly a current site.

Thank you understanding root josh. I am not a computer guy, word press has not helped me at all.
