Valid IP Address

My DNS is managed by Godaddy. They require a valid I.P. address that can be pointed to the A record. Can you supply me with this?
    Thanks, Adam Kemp

  • When possible add our nameservers rather than IP addresses because our IPs can change over time. If your registrar requires A records, you can contact support and we’ll provide you with a list of our current IP addresses. I know GoDaddy allows you to use custom name servers. Contact support if you are unsure on how to do so.

Please note that since the IPs are provide are not static, your domain might stop working at some point in the future. If that happens, you must contact support again to find out the most current IPs and then update your A records.

The name servers should be changed to:
    ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com

    IP Addresses

    Hi there,

To answer your question, the current A-Records of WordPress.com are the following:

    192.0.78.24
    192.0.78.25

The best way to map a domain though is using nameservers, because IPs/A-Records can change over time. You’re welcome to use either though, since you can always update your A-Record if they change in the future.

Mapping or transferring a domain to WordPress.com requires a paid plan, but let us know if you have any further questions or issues. :)
