Validate your email address

I have a long first blog that seems to be saved in the draft form and I cannot publish it as I get the validate your email address message, which I have done three or four times. All that shows up on my page is the mock first blog provided, which it shows as published something like 8 hours ago. I need to publish this page for school and am now past the deadline. How do I fix this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi,

That does not sound right. When you say “which I have done three or four times”, do you mean to say that you have verified your WordPress.com account’s email ID for sure?

You sound confident about your statement. Given the nature of the issue, this has to be looked at by WordPress.com Happiness Engineers. I am adding the tag “modlook” to this topic for them to have a look at.

  • Hi there,

When you created your account we sent you an email with a verification link you need to click to activate your account. Please check your email inbox, spam folder, and also the Updates and Social tabs in Gmail for that email. Once you click the link to verify your email, you’ll be able to publish your posts.

  • To be clear, this is a different email from the one where you had to confirm your contact details for the domain you registered.
