Validated subdomain not publishing

  I have upgraded to a custom subdomain, blog.knittingnuances.com, which is validated but still not publishing. I have mapped my subdomain and validated it on WordPress using the diagnostic tool. I changed the primary domain in Store away from my blogdot knittingnuancesdotcom.wordpress.com. I still get a 404 Not Found error. When I view the sample post that came with the blog it is still under the .wordpress URL. I am not sure what I have missed. Thanks. I’ve been spinning in circles looking for answer.
