Various Gutenberg Questions

    I am mostly finding using Gutenberg fine but there are a few things I used to be able to do that I just can’t find anymore. Any advice would be gratefully received. I am using the Plane theme.

    1 – Can I fully justify paragraphs? I seem to have the option to have text right, left or centred but not fully justified.
    2 – Can I make text black? I can’t see that in the standard colours anymore.
    3 – Can I still have a featured image? On the document settings my options move straight from tags to excerpt with no option to add a featured image.
    4 – I used to be able see when I already have posts scheduled on the calendar but when I go to schedule a new post now, I can’t see anything which was previously scheduled. Is this just how it is now?

    Hello @portybelle

    Please go through the following and see if it helps:

    1. For this, what you can do is click on the ‘+’ icon at the top left and select ‘Classic’ block. Now, add your text. Select the text which you wish to align as justified and press Alt + Shift + J. The text will be aligned to justify
    2. Select the text that needs to be changed to black color. Under the ‘Color Settings’ section present in the right hand sidebar, you’ll see a rainbow like color in the ‘Text Color’ panel which is the Custom color picker. Click on it and now you can either add a hexadecimal color value or directly select a color from it.
    3. To check for featured image section, I tried two themes- one that supports featured image and the other that doesn’t. I saw that the featured image section is visible only for themes that support featured image and ‘Plane’ theme does not support featured image
    4. I tried scheduling two posts and it is working fine at my end. Both the posts are added under a new ‘Scheduled’ tab. You can try doing it with a post again and see if the problem persists.

    Thanks that’s really helpful. I have changed my theme now so have got featured image back again.
