    Hello, I don’t have a site. Why I am asked to pay VAT?

    Hi there,

    We are letting everyone in the EU know of this change, which is why you got this email. However I can confirm that you do not have any upgrades under your account, so there is nothing to pay.

    To clarify, if you were to decide to upgrade your site to one of our plans, we would charge VAT on that purchase. There is no VAT charge for having a free site on WordPress.com.
