VAT number

  Hi,
  We’d like to buy a plan and need a bill with VAT Number. I’m trying to introduce it and I see following message. ‘Your VAT details are not valid. Please check each field and try again.’
  I’m sure everything is allright. What can I do?

  Hi there,

  You are entering your VAT info in the cart during checkout? What if you add the here first so the info is stored in your account settings: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/vat-details

  Once they are added there you can proceed with your transaction. If you have issues adding your VAT info at the link above can you let us know the info you are entering so we can take a closer look and investigate on our end?

  Hi! Thanks for clarifying. I had a quick look using the VIES portal of the European Union, which is at this address:
  https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/

  The message it gave for Q7755150E is “invalid VAT number for cross border transactions within the EU” and it advised checking here for clarification:
  https://www.agenciatributaria.gob.es/AEAT.sede/tramitacion/ZZ09.shtml

  Do you get the same information if you use VIES to check it too (at the first link above) ? If so, have you been assigned any other VAT number which would be valid for cross-border transactions within the European Union?
