VAT Number in Purchases

  I recently received an email to say that you are going to charge 10% GST on subscriptions in Australia. I clicked on the link to supply VAT details. I tried inputting my ABN (Australian business number) which is normally what we would provide here in Australia. Also tried my tax file number and my ACN (Australian company number). The system wouldn’t accept this and asked for a VAT number. Pretty sure in Australia we don’t have a VAT number as this is an American thing. Could you please tell me which number I need to provide you with.
