Vault Press Plugin
-
Yesterday I purchased (tried to purchase) the $15 per month Basic Vault Press Plan.
* I downloaded the Plugin and I received 6 php.files
* I think I was supposed to get a .zip file
* I could not upload them since I didn’t get a .zip fileI am not technology inclined. I am a writer.
What do I do now?
I see all the “SAFEKEEPERS” are on the job but how do I contact them? Any help appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your site is not hosted on WordPress.COM and you are posting to the wrong support forum. This forum is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. Your support questions must be posted to the correct support site for your software and that is here http://wordpress.ORG/support/

You did not read this > WordPress.com vs WordPress.org
If you had then you bwould know there is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com and we cannot install any plugins. Then you would know why this is the wrong forum to post to. Plugins are only for WordPress.org installs.

Thanks for the clarification. I understand the diff between .com vs. .org
I have no idea what “no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com” means nor do I care.
i assumed when you pay money to someone like WordPress.com as I did they would be available to answer questions when their product doesn’t perform.
Now that my time has been “stolen” I am in the process of trying to resolve an issue that should not have happen in the first place due to no fault of my own.
Thanks for the small help you did provide however.

Let me ask another question if i may. Let me preference by saying i am a writer i have zero interest or skills in the “tech” aspects of blogging.
In your opinion(s) for ease of operation (security etc) and peace of mind should I be at WordPress.com or WordPress.org?
Any input greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you primary interest is in writing and you lack the techy skill sets it takes to set up and maintain a self hosted WordPress.org install, then a free hosted WordPress.com blog will be best suited to your needs and skills.

Let me ask another question if i may? Given your answer that .com is the best fit for me I checked into moving from .org to .com and per the WordPress.com people I can do it in JUST THREE EASY steps. I am very skeptical give what I just went through. Do you have any experience or thoughts? Is it really this simple?
1) reg at WP.com
2) In old blog download to the XML to your computer
3) In new blog upload
Any “gotchya’s?”
Any thoughts greatly apprectated -
