  While using WordPress.com, we take care of security automatically for you. VaultPress is a plugin for self-hosted sites using WordPress.org (more about the difference: WordPress.com and WordPress.org.

  On WordPress.com, we don’t allow plugins for security reasons, though we include many of the more popular “plugin features” already for you, like in the case of VaultPress.
