Venture theme (Full width grid template)

Hi, I wanted to change the grid layout appearance of the page here (https://resetasia.wordpress.com/our-portfolio) so that there is a dark background over the photo to make the text stand out more. Is there a way i can do that with CSS? Ideally, I would like it to be similar to this page (https://resetasia.wordpress.com/our-portfolio/case-studies/) but I’m not sure how i can replicate that same effect.
I’ve been told by your staff that those pages can only be the child of either of those pages. I was wondering if there is any workaround to keep the case studies page as is and have the portfolio page set to “full width grid template” layout of the case studies page – essentially, showing the same information but in different theme layouts.

Hi there!
There isn’t any built in way to have two grid template pages with duplicate content. I also spent some time experimenting with the List Pages Shortcode, but could not find a workaround or CSS to achieve what you’re after.
Can I ask if it’s absolutely necessary for you to have two pages that link to the same content? Perhaps you could remove the “Case Studies” page and make child pages for “Our Portfolio” instead?
