Verbal Radio Analog….

Jeeeez! All I want is a blog that is the verbal equivalent of a radio talk show. I want a basic template that has a header AND a static introduction sidebar or, even better, an introduction paragraph below the header, which is static, and sets the format of the basic purpose of the site and then below, has daily posts.
This seems like such an obvious analog. I have looked through all the templates and this seemingly simple format, is missing. Am I missing something?
I don’t want to custom-code anything; this seems like such a basic analogue, I can’t understand why there isn’t one. Can you fill me in?

We Vounteers don’t assist with theme selection. Theme preferences are subjective and there are over 200 of them. You can use the feature filters in the searchbox in the Themes Showcase to narrow your search. http://theme.wordpress.com/

@crushingthehive: What you’re missing is that many themes have options, and most themes allow you to add things. So looking at the templates doesn’t tell you all about them.
Before I answer your question: Almost all themes have a header (blog title, tagline etc). Do you really mean just a header, or do you mean a header image?
