How do I get rid of this awful verification code? I can’t stand it. Every time I sign in it demands a new number. I really only blog through my laptop. WordPress urged me to do this and I wish I hadn’t listened. Please help me.

Thanks for your response, thistimethisspace. I’m trying to disable, following the given directions, but when I go into settings, no SECURITY tab is given. I’m sorry but I can’t so I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

P.S. Exactly what kind of device are you using to access the internet and wordpress.com? I’m asking as I think Staff may need to know the specifics like operating system or make and model so please provide detailed information to avoid delays in getting help.

I’m using a pc laptop with windows 8. I don’t have a custom theme- don’t know if that matters.
Thanks for your time. -
