Verification Email Not Being Sent – Unable to complete required posting in WordPress

  I am trying to verify my email address (which I must do to continue posting). WordPress is NOT sending the activation email to my account. In addition, when I call WordPress support telephone number, they have put me on hold 6 times and then automatically hung up after I wait 5 minutes each time for assistance. How does one get help from WordPress support? This will also be my second email help request in 24 hours with no response from WordPress support.
