Verification email problem

Hi
I’ve started a new blog. I’m receiving the verification email but there is no Confirm Now button. The words ‘confirm now’ are there but there is no clickable link or url.
I’ve tried viewing the email in 2 different email clients. I’ve updated Java to the latest version and tried viewing the email on the web but still no link so I’m unable to vertify my wordpress.com blog.

Just to confirm, you’re not able to click on the words “Confirm Now”? If you right-click on those words, do you see the “Copy Link Location” option in the menu?
Updating Java should have no effect, unless you’re using an email program on your computer that relies on Java to work. Websites don’t use Java at all, though – they use JavaScript, but that should also have no effect here as JavaScript is used to make interactive elements on a website, and is not used at all in plain links.
But your email client could be stripping embedded links out of the email in a blunt-force attempt to prevent phishing attacks. If that’s the case, you might need to view the email as plain text instead, find the link and manually copy it, and then open it in a new browser tab.

That’s correct – the words ‘confirm now’ are there but there is no link or button, just the words.
If I right click there is no option to ‘copy link’ or anything similar.I’ve opened links many times before so if my ISP or broswer are blocking the link in the WordPress email I’m not sure why as they allow from everyone else. It’s very odd.
I’ve tried two different browsers viewing webmail (Firefox & Internet Explorer) and the link is not visible. I’ve also downloaded the email to my desktop email client (Thunderbird) and still no link.

p.s. I should have said, there is no option with my webmail to view as plain text. There is in my email client, but mails download via pop3 from my ISP which seems to have already stripped the link out.

There is obviously a problem with my ISP/webmail which I can’t get to the bottom of. It’s becoming time consuming so I’ve simply changed the email associated with the blog and all is now up and running OK.
