verification of site with google, where to upload html file

I am trying to verify my blog with google, they have sent me a verification html with the instruction to upload it on my wordpress site. However, I cannot see where I have to do this! I am using the Brand New Day template. Is it possible? Many thanks

Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don’t feel panicky about this please.
WordPress.com provides the search engines with site maps. We bloggers do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/

It just seems weird to me that I’ve got the only recipe for something on the web that I can find, and google isn’t coming up with it. It’s been there a couple of days.

Keep publishing original content frequently because it can take weeks before indexing will happen.
