Verify Email Address

Help! I changed my account email address and received a confirmation email. I clicked the link in the email to verify my email address, but nothing happened.
A message in the dashboard is still asking me to verify my email address. I’ve tried to resend the email and to send it to a new email address, but it still isn’t working and as a result, I can’t publish any posts.

What are the two email addresses involved. What are you trying to change your address from and what are you trying to change it to? Don’t worry about posting it here, it will appear to the public as [email redacted by staff] but I’ll be able to see it.

I’ve already updated my email address. it was originally entered as (email visible only to moderators and staff), but that wasn’t the accurate address, so I updated it to (email visible only to moderators and staff).
It shows on the home screen as updated to the .ca address, but I’m still receiving a notification that I need to verify the email address. Following the link from the email that was sent to the accurate address doesn’t seem to work, so the email address still isn’t verified.
I’ve tried to resend the email and even send the verification to another email address but that hasn’t worked at all, I haven’t received any further emails after the initial confirmation email to update the address.

Hi Jen,
Do you receive email at that .com address as well as at the .ca? It looks like there has indeed been an issue with sending an email to the .com and I need to know if you can receive an email there.

No, the .com address is not valid. It was entered as .com instead of .ca by mistake.

I received the email, thank you. However, when I went through the verification from the link in that email, the message said that the .com email address was verified as the owner of the blog.
I need the .ca to be the email on file, because I can’t receive emails to the .com address.
Is there anyway the .ca email address can be the only one associated with the account, and the only one that I will receive emails to.

That email was required in order to activate the blog at all. After you clicked on it, are you still getting banner warnings on your site?

The real problem I’m having is that I can’t publish any posts because I am not receiving the verification emails. Even though I went through the verification process, the email address verified was the .com one, and as I said, that isn’t a valid email address.
Your help to get all the verification emails going to (email visible only to moderators and staff) would be awesome.Thank you.
