Hi there!
Sometimes these emails get sent to your spam folder. Try checking there and if you still don’t see it, I will tag this thread for the staff to assist you. -
Thank you for your response
At the start I got an email from wordpress, but there was nothing about verifying my email address, just notification that I can start customising my blog.
The other thing I would like to ask you. Is wordpress.com only blogging site or I can create my blog, and web site at the same place?
Thank you, Zarko. -
Hi! You can use your wordpress.com site as a blog or a website. You can also choose to create a website on WordPress.org, however it is a bit more complicated to use. When using WordPress.com, you don’t have to pay for hosting, download software, or manage a web server. WordPress.com is an excellent choice to run a website on if you’re looking to have much of the technical work taken care of. Please see the following link that will help explain the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org sites and they can help you choose which version would be better suited for you.
Let me know if this helps and if you have any other questions!

A blog is a website. This is all semantics and blog structure. A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication. As the posts are frequently updated and appear on the front page of the site it’s very attractive to search engines. What most people call a website is merely a page based website that functions as a one way noticeboard. As the structure is page based, and as pages are for static content that rarely changes, and as pages do not have RSS feeds, it is not as attractive to search engines as a post based blog structured site is.
Any WordPress blog can be restructured from being post based to being page based – no upgrade required. For greater clarity read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/
The only themes we can use on free hosted WordPress.com blogs are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/
There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes that.On one hand, none of the characteristic “blog” features like categories, tags, authors, dates, etc. can be removed from a free hosted WordPress.com blog, without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing.

I am struggling with publishing my first post.
By default the front page of the blog is the only page that will display all published posts on it. As soon as you publish a post not a page the error message will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
For creating a post see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#publish-a-new-post
For creating a page see here

Hi there
I am still unable to publish on wordpress. Drafts allowed only. The message that keeps reappearing is “Please verify your email address”, and resend confirmation button doesn’t work. I seems it is quite common issue with novices there. I have nothing in junk mail folder and not using gmail address. I have reset my Safari browser as well.
Can you help me please?
Thanks,
Zarko -
