Verifying my blog

  I am following the directions below to a tee and I still get an error saying “…We couldn’t find the verification meta tag.” I have copied only the content, deleted and re-added the site multiple times, verified I was using the correct info/fields… What can I possibly be doing wrong??

  Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don’t feel panicky about this please.

  Do recognize that the blog visibility must be public for the blog to be verified and content to be indexed. To change blog visibility to public go to > Settings > Reading and select option 1. Guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
