Verifying ownership with google search console

    I want to Verify ownership of
    https://theinteractiveeye.wordpress.com/
    with google search console. I am not interested or able to buy a plan for WordPress. None of the popular ways seem to work. Kindly help me with the same.

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi!

    To verify ownership of your WordPress site with Google Search Console without buying a plan, you can follow these steps:

    1. Go to Google Search Console and sign in with your Google account.
    2. Click on the “Add Property” button and enter your WordPress site URL (https://theinteractiveeye.wordpress.com/) in the field.
    3. Click on the “Alternate methods” tab and choose “HTML tag.”
    4. Copy the entire code given to you by Google using the Copy button.
    5. In a new browser tab or window, open your WordPress.com account and go to My Site(s) → Tools → Marketing → Traffic.
    6. Scroll down to the Site Verification Services section, and paste the code you copied from Google’s HTML tag section into the Google section.
    7. Click Save Settings.
    8. Go back to Google Search Console and click on “Verify.” Google will check for the meta tag code on your site and verify ownership.

    You can also verify Bing, Pinterest, and Yandex. I hope this method will work! :)
