Verifying pinterest

When I try to add my blog link on my pinterest profile, it says to verify the website and the instructions are very confusing and I couldn’t find anything specific in the support forums.
I am supposed to add this link:
<meta name=”p:domain_verify” content=”b6b6309aee421b9bb2fd23b9a864f075″/>
to the “index .html file or equivalent” and I do not understand what that means.
I also have the option to upload a verification file to boxy-ladies.com but I don’t understand what that means either. I’m not entirely sure where to put it and in what format.
Can you please help? I’d like to drive Pinterest users to my blog with a verified account.

This type of code will not work on WordPress.com sites, as you cannot access the html files directly.
