Hey, I would like to verify my free account but the e-mail which is promised to be sent does not appear to be in my inbox. I promise, I check the very inbox it should be sent to, but there’s nothing. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
According to staff, it’s possible a bug is preventing the email being sent to you because your account was created over a year ago, but not yet activated. If you recall, please indicate how you signed up (mobile app, Gravatar.com, or WordPress.com) and whether you recall getting an activation email when you first created your account. That will help with troubleshooting. I’ve tagged this thread to let WordPress.com staff know that you need assistance with this issue.

@capiserchia, it depends on the account. The problem on @jemesensbizarre was actually due to a bug, but that didn’t affect everyone. From this end, it looks like you were able to verify your account on your own. Did you need more help?

@hcasasca, yours is fixed. I’m going to go ahead and close this thread, but if anyone else needs help, please (each of you) start a new thread and add the tag “modlook”. This is one case where we’ll be able to work faster if you each have your own thread, because this issue can seem similar on the surface but actually be different for different cases. Thanks, all!
