Verifying website on Pinterest

  I am trying to verify my website on Pinterest. I purchased my domain name from GoDaddy. I contacted GoDaddy and they said to contact WordPress. I tried adding the meta tag info onto the tools page on my Dashboard where it says Pinterest Site verification and it is still saying it isnt working. Any ideas?

  Thank you. I will wait to hear. When I signed up with WordPress I did the “mapping of existing domain” since I purchased domain from GoDaddy. I dont know if that has anything to do with it. Thanks.

  Hi Mary Ann,

  Sometimes it can just take Pinterest a little time to see the verification code you entered at WordPress.com. If you go to Pinterest and click the “Verify Website” button, does it work now?

  If not, does it give you a specific error message?

  No. I have tried several times since I inputted the code. It just keeps saying…”trouble verifying your domain. Please try again later.” Thanks….Mary Ann

  I recently saw something posted on the forum regarding this issue that said do not include the www in the url so I changed the website address to http://thebeachhousekitchen.com, but that isnt working either.

  Hi Mary Ann,

  I’m sorry it’s still not working for you! When you switched the website address to http://thebeachhousekitchen.com/ did you get a new meta tag from Pinterest? If so, you will need to add that new meta tag on your site’s Tools page before verifying it.
