Vermillion Christmas Theme Problem

  Dear WordPress,
  I am using the Vermilion Christmas theme and I am having a problem with the links at the bottom of the blogs. For instance on this page http://brooklynsnohornets.wordpress.com/ if I click on the link in “Posted in Current Trail Status” it directs me here http://wordpress.com/tag/current-trail-status/ instead of here http://brooklynsnohornets.wordpress.com/category/current-trail-status/
  Could you please look into this for me.

  If you searched the forums, you would find that this is the way the categories/tags work.

  Clicking on them in a post directs you to the global tag pages, where posts from across WordPress.COM on that topic are displayed.

  If you have the category and/or tag cloud in your sidebar, clicking on those links takes you to the posts on your blog.

  Staff has said that this behavior will not change.

  It appears to me this does not seem to be consistent with other themes. Instead of taking me to the Tag, other themes seem to take me to the category. I don’t have any tags created on this particular blog.

  Tags and categories work the same way. As Vivian said, tag or category tabs under or above your posts lead to the wordpress global tags pages; tag or category tabs in your sidebar lead to the relevant posts in your blog. That’s the way it works, no matter what the theme.

  I must have something wrong then. For instance if I go to my http://r254.wordpress.com/ page and pan over the “Posted in News” sentence it brings me to the same place as if I was over by the categories sidebar. Both show me the same URL in the information bar at the bottom of the browser.
  Both of them show me this:
  http://r254.wordpress.com/category/news/
  And they both route me to the same place.

  Where as if I do the same in this page http://brooklynsnohornets.wordpress.com/
  In the categories on the sidebar, it shows me this URL
  http://brooklynsnohornets.wordpress.com/category/current-trail-status/
  And under the “Posted In Current Trail Status” it shows me this URL
  http://wordpress.com/tag/current-trail-status/

  Do I have a setting that controls this?
  Why would it be doing this?
