  I have purchased a Genesis Theme and the instructions say to be sure my WordPress version is 3.6+. I can’t find the version on this site.

  What is the address for the site you are working on? It sounds like you may be using the self-hosted (WordPress.ORG) version of WordPress instead of the WordPress.COM hosted version that is supported here. I recommend asking on the WordPress.org Support Forums:
