version number and upgrades
-
Hi, new to wordpress, i created my site about 2 years ago and then let it sit…have gotten back around to it and wanted to check version numbers and updates. Ive looked through a series of instructions, and none seem to apply or work (i.e. looking at footer, using dashboard, looking at readme file [get an error message it cant be found]. I dont recall getting any automatic update messages. So, 1) how do I find the version number, and 2) if I have an ancient version, do I need to go through the updates in order so the latest will work properly? thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Here at WordPress.com where your blog is hosted http://bardenridgefarms.com/ Staff do all upgrades and we bloggers do nothing. We run on the most recent WordPress version and as this platform is on continuous roll-out we are always ahead of self-hosted WordPress.org bloggers. We are upgraded about 1 month before the WordPress.org versions are made available to those who self host on WordPress.org software.

Ok, this is weird…made it down to 3(d), and suddenly everything is in Chinese (han). English is chosen as my language. The page looks funny also. I logged out and logged back in and I cant get rid of the chinese. I can translate it, but cant make it go away.

@Staff
There was another thread like this one ere: Chinese language yesterday but I don’t have time to look for it as I’m multitasking from my business. -
Thank you. This is a tough way to get re-started :( My apologies, but where do I subscribe to the thread you referenced? (or do I just stay on this one?)

tnanks for your patience with a newbie… I found the threads by searching in the forums. Interesting, my languages are set in english but they still come up in chinese, but I am seeing the same thing mentioned in the threads.

thx….I went in later yesterday and was able to change both the interface and blog back by removing the tz portion of the address, and then choosing english…but fyi, my language changed to chinese while I was logged in and working….how did that happen, and anything I can do to prevent it?
