Version of WordPress

    Our site represents a local charity and currently uses v5.1.13. On the site it says we can update to v5.9.3 but I want to know if all the content will update as is if I select to update?

    Hi there,

    For advice on an update across so many versions at once, it will be best if you ask the WordPress.org community, who makes that software, in their forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

    The forums you’re posting to now is for WordPress.com, the hosting provider. Sites on our servers are always on the most recent version of WordPress, i.e. there isn’t any option at all to update a WordPress.com site manually. So I have no idea what would happen if you tried to run this update, or what the best way would be to go about it :)

    The one thing I can tell you is make sure you make a full backup of your site before you do anything, so that you can restore it should something go wrong during the update process.
