vertical big photos – photographer's blog

  • Unknown's avatar

I just opened my blog here. I am a photographer and my images are mainly vertical. How can I set up my blog so that all the images line up and that the vertical images are the larges images. Here’s an example blog:

You need to scroll down past the first few pages to the images. http://www.inbedwithsue.com/blog/

Here behind the scenes images are mainly horizontal and her final images are vertical and big. How do I achieve this same look on my blog?

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,

I took a look at the example blog you mentioned. It looks like all of the majority of the final images she imports are actually vertical in orientation like this one:

The images are just put in the blog at full size so they naturally display with that orientation.

Honestly, I think that’s going to be the easiest method for you as well. For images that you take vertically, adding them normally to your blog should cause them to display vertically. For landscape images, the easiest thing to do would be edit them to the correct aspect ratio following the instructions here:

Can you give that a try with a few images and let me know if you’re getting the look you want?
