Vertical lines in tables not showing up after publishing

  I’m trying to add a large table (50 rows and 7 columns, with some spanned cells), and I need to separate the columns with lines. Sometimes I can see them in Preview, but they don’t appear in the finished product.

  The working with tables is difficult! “Herculean tediosity” quipped someone in another post.

  How do I define the width of columns? They are not all the same width! I’ve used width=10% previously.

  Also, are we supposed to be using html 5.1 (with th codes) or the older 4.0 (without)? I’ve tried it both ways with no difference.

  Oooooohhh can you guys not make this easier!!!!?????
