vertical pictures are coming up horizontal?

  When I upload any of my vertical images they come up horizontal. Why is this? Is there a way to change that once they are uploaded?

  I don’t see any image with that problem on your front page. Anyway, when that happens, it means that the actual file is horizontal, but it’s got an incorporated command for rotation when you view it in an image viewing application. You need to edit such images in an image editing application, save them as vertical ones, then upload them.
