vertical scroll bar in the new post text box jumps around
-
When I’m writing a new post (or editing an existing one), if I move my cursor out of the text box (or edit box – where the post body is written), the vertical scroll bar jumps back to the top of the post. This is incredibly annoying and, if I’m editing something near the bottom of a long post, time consuming.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I’ve never experienced this issues with Safari, or Firefox, what browser, browser version and operating system are you using?

I tried it on my XP laptop with IE8 and do not see the problem, so I’m not sure what to suggest.
You might try logging out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart the browser and then try again. It might be a corrupted file in the cache that is causing the issue. IE hangs onto cached pages tenaciously and in many cases will still use them if you do a forced refresh of a page.

I’m having EXACTLY the same problem.
Just to make things clearer, it’s not “if I move my cursor out of the text box”, but rather “if I move my cursor out of the text box into some other sensitive area (e.g., buttons etc.)”

Okay, I dumped IE 8 and re-loaded IE 7. That did the trick there. Plus, it worked just fine in Firefox. So it seems to be specific to IE 8, at least as far as I can tell.
Thanks for the help, sacredpath. Give Firefox a try, nitduven.

IE8 in “Compatibility View” seems to solve this !!!
