Hi!
I am trying to add a sidebar widget to my Lodestar blog. But nothing happens. I am not able to make it visible. What can I do?

LarsThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am using the Sequential theme and had similar issues. Under page settings, then under page attributes, I changed the page template from full-width page back to default template and the side bar widgets did appeared.

Hi @Irisan !
Where do you want to add your widget? Please note that according to the Lodestar theme support
Sidebar widgets can be set to appear on all pages except the static front page.
If this is not your case, have a look at this support guide about widget visibility and widgets.
Hope this helps!

Thanks!
All this helped. I figured out how to make widgets visible in the footer-menus, but when I do exactly the same om the side menu, nothing happens. Seems really like the main side menu does not work on this blog.
Should I just change template, fro m “Lodestar” to somthing else, that I have used earlier.

Hello @lrisan,
As @stefbarz mentioned above, according to the Lodestar theme documentation,
Sidebar widgets can be set to appear on all pages except the static front page
I tested it out, and it does appear that in the Lodestar theme, you will see your sidebar widgets show up on your pages and posts, except for the home page, whether that’s a static front page or the list of your most recent posts. You should be able to test this by activating the Lodestar theme and then navigating to an individual blog post or a page that is not your home page.
However I had a look at your link and it looks like you are now using the Ceruano theme so perhaps that better suits.
I hope that helps!

Yes, you are right. I need the list of recent posts on the front page.
Great to have so many helpful people around.
Thanks!
