    The url in question is : relore.wordpress.com

    I am extremely interested in any procedure liable to help me get that address. It feels so much snappier than what I am currently making do with. Is it possible to contact its owner through some means, for instance?

    I have seen a couple of other threads where this general issue is discussed and I must say that the restriction that WordPress puts on itself seems quite absurd, especially given how blogs are sometimes removed against the wishes of their very owners (not to get bogged down in arguments on the acceptability of this).

    Free sites here are free for the owner forever, even if they decide not to make good use of them. I have a few unstarted free sites here myself that may or may not ever get used. I would be mightily peeved if those addresses were taken away from me just because someone else took a fancy to them.

    The best thing you can do is leave a comment on that site asking if the owner would consider transferring the site to your account as they don’t appear to need it. There may be a chance that they still have access to the email address they associated with that site.
