VERY new to this and need help with upgrade….

  I recently started a blog (www.blog.wrapsbycelebrations.com) and purchased my theme from a designer who installed it for me on my cpanel connected with my website hosting (done by http://www.cuddlecreekhosting.com). The date is more than 24 hours into the future and I have been trying to figure out how to correct it and to post links to my blog, all without success. Any help is greatly appreciated! Also, if I upgrade to the newest version of WP as my site tells me I need the newer version, how will this affect my customized theme? I am very new to website designing and blogging…..thanks in advance….
