Very slow webpage and dashboark loading after upgrade to WP

    Everything was working fine with our site… until I upgraded to WP 4.9.8.
    Now pages don’t load for 4 minutes, it takes up to 4 minutes to log in to WP, the dashboard is slow. Customers cannot see our site either, of course.
    I have tried (i) reinstalling 4.9.8 (ii) installed updated plugins (iii) reinstalled 4.9.8 all with no success. I would roll back to the previous version if I easily could.

    I am not a WP or code expert, but have managed the site well enough over the past 5 years.

    Are there known issues? What should I do?
