  Good day,
  I am a disabled veteran and I have been looking for ways to organize and showcase my artwork online.
  I have a fixed income so I am trying to find a system that I can afford to keep for long time.
  Does WordPress offer any discounts for veterans?
  And if so, what do I need to do to sign up?

  Thanks for the quick response.

  The features that I need are not covered in the free version of WordPress.
  My work is a bit more extensive and requires things not covered in the Free Plan.

  Having a discount would have helped me to reach my goal sooner.

  So although that has been helpful for me in the past, it does not allow for doing things on a higher level such as Advanced Design Customization, VideoPress support or other things listed in the paid plans.

  Thank you for your response though, and I will continue to use my free plan until I can find something that fits.

  I will keep looking for a service that will accommodate me, so please let me know if you are aware of any other places that give a Veterans discount.

  @paulmike88 Hi there, you might want to look around for a newer theme than Oxygen, which is already quite old as far as themes go. Older themes are not really updated to use all of WordPressdotcom’s newer features.

  There are a lot of free themes with portfolios, which is a feature you might want to explore if you are showcasing your artwork.   There’s a lot of customization that can be done even without any paid upgrade: Custom Headers, Custom Backgrounds, Custom color palettes, special page templates and more are all a part of many free themes. https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/

  As far as media embeds go, you can upload them elsewhere and embed them in your WPcom site.
