Viagra Spam

I’m getting a lot of this lately, but here is something I noticed. I always get them in two’s. If I delete them the two come right back, but if Ieave them, then it stays at two. This is weird. Can they tell I’m deleting them?

Removing spam is a continuous process and the behavior you describe re: spam deletion is odd. Please post the URL for the blog in question starting with http://

Yes, it is odd. Been here 4 years-ish and first time I’ve see this. I deleted them a few hours ago and now they are back.

Hello Alex,
I understand that you are deleting them by sending them to Trash. Are you then following through and permanently deleting them from Trash? If you leave them there then in 30 days time they will be auto-deleted from Trash. The fact that you only get two and they are always the same seems odd to me but Staff have more knowledge about these things than I do.

@TT when spam shows up in the spam folder there is a option to permanently delete the spam which bypasses the trash folder.

I’m going to try a little experiment. I just permanently deleted one – copied it’s IP first. Let’s see what happens.
My concern is that I picked spyware from Facebook. I had to close my page (and all 750 friends) because someone added a photo album, and in that album two phots were added. If I delete them they stay gone – unless I turn off the computer and restart, then sure enough, they are back. I also had to close my Skype. All this started after I looked a t a photo someone tagged me in on FB. Of course, there was no photo there when I clicked on the link.
Anyone know if this viagra spam is related to that? Am I infected with spyware?

Ok, I took out one and two came back. One has the same IP. Is there anyway I can stop this crap? Anyone else having this issue?
