I uploaded two videos to my blog about 8 months ago without having to become a Premium member. I just need to upload one more video to my blog and have just discovered that this has changed. I do not require any of the other features of Premium, I am not making money from my blog and I literally only require one more video (my blog, which has over 30 posts, has only used two videos so far). Is there any way a one-off allowance can be made? I’ve nearly finished writing the blog of my year in South America and wanted to include one final video, and don’t feel that I should upgrade to Premium for this single task.
Please help!

All WordPress.com blogs come with 3 GB of space for uploaded files and images. WordPress.com Premium includes another 10 GB of extra storage, for a total of 13 GB. WordPress.com Business includes unlimited storage space. https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/
Is there any way a one-off allowance can be made?
No. Please go to and see if you have exhausted your free media space allocation.
http://thesouthamericanadventure.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.phpIf you still have space then you could have a browser related issue. See here https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
re: adding media to posts and pages
For accepted file types for uploading see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/
Are you running a browser and version of it found at http://browsehappy.com? If not, upgrade.
re: embedding videos
We embed videos into pages and posts and no upgrade is required unless or until you exceed your free media space allocation. https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/The video embeds in posts and pages that WordPress.com supports for all of our blogs – no upgrade required are found here.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/Video shortcodes are here http://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/#video
Note to post your own videos requires a videopress upgrade unless they are on youtube or another source site that is supported and the videopress support doc location is https://en.support.wordpress.com/videopress/ As a workaround, keep in mind that you can also upload your media to another service like youtube videos and insert it into your posts from there.
Example:
For youtube embedding into wordpress.COM blogs see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/For using the shortcode see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#embedding-with-a-shortcode
For troubleshooting see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#troubleshooting
