  How can I use my blog to put items I have for sale on it by using a short 1 minute burst of video?

  Are you talking about stuff that you have actually made yourself such as paintings, pottery, crafts, jewelry, etc?

  Selling things here is a little restricted. Basically things that you have made yourself are normally OK to sell here on your blog, or perhaps through an Etsy shop. As far as selling stuff others have made, or things that you might have acquired from distributors and such, that is normally a no go and against the terms of service.

  Since we here in the forums are volunteers and not staff, you need to verify this with staff letting them know exactly what you are wanting to sell.

  Selling things here is difficult since we cannot use any sort of shopping cart and we cannot use the “buy now” buttons through PayPal because of code restrictions.

  Generally for doing e-commerce, a self-hosted wordpress installation is better since you do not have the restrictions we have here. That of course costs money as you need to register a domain name and acquire a web host and then install and configure the wordpress.ORG software.

  Talk with staff though and see what they have to say.

  I wanted to add video to my blog, I followed the instructions for a youtube link in the support area and the only thing that shows on my blog are the links not the videos. Is there something missing from the instructions?

  To quickly embed a YouTube video, simply copy the video’s URL from your web browser’s address bar while viewing the video.Here are the instructions > http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/
  Please try again. With the first method (URL copy & paste), make sure the YouTube link is not hyperlinked. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#troubleshooting

  So by removing the hyperlink it should work, because I followed those instrsuctions.
