Video Alignment on Project Pages
-
Hi –
I recently purchased the MOOD theme by AUTOMATIC. I am fairly happy with it so far, but can not get my text and video to line up properly on the Project pages: http://lauren-knapp.com/portfolio/lockdown/
Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks!

Follow up question… is there a way to create space between the edge of the screen and the buttons on the Project Type pages?

Could you explain a bit more about the alignment you’re trying to achieve? Are you trying to get the text next to the video?

You’re trying to create space here:
Is that correct? If so, this bit of CSS should do the trick. Just add it under Appearance > Customize > CSS:
.archive.tax-jetpack-portfolio-type #content { padding: 0 10px; } -
Thanks for the reply! Regarding the first question, right now everything seems to be right justified. Additionally, the video extends beyond the text. I would like the text and video to occupy the same amount of horizontal space or at the very least be center justified.
Regarding the second, yes that works!
Thanks!

It looks like the Vimeo embed expands a bit outside of the content width. That’s the designed appearance with the theme. However, if you would like to resize it to fit the traditional width, you can use this CSS:
.entry-content .jetpack-video-wrapper, .entry-content .gallery { width: 710px; margin-left: 0px; }Can you give that a try?
Did you also want to adjust the image at the top? Right- and left-aligned images are meant to break out of the content area as shown here:

Yes, thank you!
One last question, since you’ve been so helpful…
On the home page there’s a Portfolio/Work section. It seems to include the most recently added content. Is there a way for me to override this to curate what content is seen?
Thanks!

Those are displayed in the order they were posted. So, currently, the 12 most recent projects will be displayed. If you wanted to change which ones are shown, you would need to adjust the published date on those projects. From this page, for example:
https://cornfedmedia.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=jetpack-portfolio
You can hover over an item and “Quick Edit” the date. Can you give that a try?
