  What is the max video file size I can upload?
  How can I upload a larger video? Through my host in FTP File Manager or another way through plug-in?

  The maximum video size is 1 GB: https://wordpress.com/support/videopress/#video-requirements-and-specifications

  You could get around that via FTP https://wordpress.com/support/ftp-access/ but in most cases, you won’t need to. :)
