Video: Frame and Thumbnail selection

Is there any way when uploading a video from my computer HD to wordpress of selecting what the opening frame is that represents the video when static at present it is a frame from half way through and not very representational to the video!

I have re-uploaded now which seems to have helped but now I have no HD in the corner?? Were has it gone?

I cannot help you with the HD issue (and please don’t post the same issue in more than one thread.
There’s no way to select the thumbnail on a WP.com format video.
Also, you are going to have to delete this page:

Affiliate advertising is not allowed on WordPress.com. You may find an independently-hosted WordPress.ORG blog suits your needs better.

As I have just posted It is a time issue, please understand that if it doesnt say it in the video help section I have no other option but to post my problem as I have to move on and not having to solve the problem myself by re compressing which takes time!
As for the Affiliate page I have named it affiliates and it is really just a link! I have spent alot of time on this blog as other formats did not suit my needs I have spent the last 5 months, this is not an advertisment it is a link to two blogs also hosted on wordpress that tackle other issues to the imagepropaganda blog, please if you have a problem with my use of the forum do not start making my life hard and accusing me of doing something Iam not, the use of the word affilate is just a word as links do not suit them, these sites are blogs with domain redirects!

This has now changed to Partner Sites after reading this below from WordPress I have changed the word Affiliate to Partner, Please actually look at the links before judging them , they are creative blogs and I spend alot of time and energy on WordPress and do not like being accused of Pyramid schemes and get rich schemes, when I have had a very enjoyable experience with WordPress the tone used in your two posts, scolding me are uncalled for!
Affiliate marketing blogs: Blogs with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs and get-rich-quick schemes (”Make six figures from home!!”, “20 easy steps to top profits!!”, etc). This includes multi-level marketing (MLM) blogs and pyramid schemes. To be clear, people writing their own original book, movie or game reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their own products on Etsy do NOT fall into this category.

I have removed the word affiliate for all the nit pickers out there, as it seems the word is now “associated” with pyramid schemes and scams…….I have checked the small print!
