  Can I upload a video that I recorded on my own phone? If so, how do I do it? Basically, I’m trying to do a video post instead of writing a post. Thanks!

  You need to upload it to a supported format like YouTube or Google Video first, then you can put it in your blog. The instructions are in the FAQ, and depend which of the formats you choose; be sure only to pick one you can post here.

  Can I add flash? video? Embed other media?

  What if I don’t want to post these on the web? I would rather not put them on sites like google or youtube. Is there another way to upload directly to my blog on wordpress?

  If you get the space upgrade, you can use WordPress video. If you’re concerned about privacy, you can upload them to YouTube and then make them non-embeddable and post a link only, so people will be able to watch them on YouTube but not put them in their own blogs.

  You can also, if you buy the upgrade and use WP video or something else that works on our blogs, make the posts password-protected. Then only the people you give the key to will be able to watch.
