Video header – Twenty Seventeen theme

Hey guys –
My problem is that when I add a video header for my home screen using Twenty seventeen theme, it shifts to the left and reveals some of the background.
I think that it might have something to do with the play button being on the right

Hi,
I ran some tests using the latest versions of the Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome browsers, and an older version of Internet Explorer. In each case the video filled the width of the screen, there was no shifting to the left, and no background was revealed. I was unable to replicate the result demonstrated in the screen shot you’ve provided, and I don’t know what might be causing the result you’ve obtained, so I’ll tag the topic for staff attention. Please wait for staff to respond.

Thanks for pointing this out. I have been able to replicate this issue and have notified the developers. As soon as we have word back from them, we’ll update you here.

There isn’t an update yet. Since this is what’s known as a “default theme” for all of WordPress, it needs to be updated over at the WordPress.org project first, and then we can apply the fixes to WordPress.com.
