Video loading

  Is there a way to decrease the time it takes to load a header video? I’ve decreased the size of the file but can’t reduce it further because I lose video quality.

  I’ll have to scrap this design if I can’t find a way to avoid the loading circle.

  Hi –

  That is all dependent on an individuals loading speeds. You don’t have control over that. So, my suggestion would be to embed that video on the home page, so it’s not auto playing. Someone can click the play button if they want to see it, as they likely know how their own speeds run for such things.

  With that option, the entire site won’t be slowed down from loading.

  I have a slow internet connection (3mb speeds) and the video loaded in less than 5 seconds for me.
